THOM
This House of Mine, or THOM, is a collaborative zine based out of Portland, Oregon. In our first issue we explored themes about reproductive justice and heard from folks who menstruate. In the second issue we opened up the call to everyone, everywhere. The theme was our emotional connection to our physical body. Some topics we explored were pleasure, pain, loss, transformation, discovery, and movement.
Each issue also had an interactive component of bringing together folks in a group to discuss the theme. Facilitating these workshops with people from all over the country challenged me as a teacher and a leader.
This zine was distributed for free in the Portland community thanks to a generous grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council. Both issues are available for free digital download in the store.
